Growth Technology pH buffers - a known pH-value solution designed to measure the accuracy of pH meters and used to measure the pH of a nutrient solution.
Note that if you do not calibrate your pH meters with Growth Technology Buffer 4 and 7 at regular intervals, the accuracy of the pH values given by the instrument will be unreliable. This can lead to serious crop losses and can damage plants if this condition persists.
Growth Technology buffers use two values - 4 and 7 pH - to calibrate your pH testers as they act at the edge of the pH range where you work for hydroponics, ie 5.5-6.5. If used in hydroponics, it is not necessary to calibrate the pH tester to a different value, as you only work in a small section of the pH scale.
When calibrating, it is advisable to use only a small sample of buffer solution in a separate vessel, test the meter and then pour out the solution. By pouring out the used solution, avoid contamination of the fresh solution and ensure a longer service life of the calibration solution.
